About
YEKTA
YEKTA is the name Hossein Yektapour paints under. A digital painter, he spent fifteen years as an art director making images for others before turning to his own.
The work is conceptual and quiet: bodies that come apart, faces that turn into objects, and a red thread that keeps returning. It is the line that ties a thought to what it costs.
overthink(paint)ing is how he names the process: thinking a feeling all the way through, until it has no choice but to become a picture.
Alongside painting he makes interactive and generative work.
